As an industry leading designer and manufacturer of elevators and escalators, Kone ensure the smooth flow of people and goods throughout buildings in the UK. Their global service base consists of 650,000 elevators and escalators and more than 270,000 industrial and pedestrian doors. Customers are provided with innovative solutions for maintenance which depend on an enterprise asset management system that allows staff to work efficiently at all times. With the requirement for mobile staff to use laptops came the issue of security, and in the event of any theft, the cost of lost equipment and subsequent down time would be considerable. In order to guarantee the smooth running of their program, Kone approached autosafe® for a security solution.

By supplying each maintenance vehicle with an S30-F vehicle safe autosafe® implemented a solution that achieved the company’s vision of providing an efficient maintenance service without any security risk, equipping Kone’s staff with the tools to protect company assets at all times.
